PIETY POINTS (PP) & THE THREE TRUTHS

I. PIETY POINTS OVERVIEW

Piety Points (PP) are a completely different system unique to Purge Jihad. They are somewhat similiar yet different than the traditional RPG currency (gold) or Experience Points. (Purge Jihad also has Experience Points for leveling.) PP earned for consistantly performing acts judged favorable by the player character's Deity. PP are awarded at 3 minute intervals by the server. A player will earn the PP regardless if the he is dead. Characters can store up to 10,000 which is saved on the server if the player choose to play in RPG Mode. Note: PP are not saved FPS Mode or in Tournament Games.

Piety Points are earned for the 3 Truths of Purge Jihad: Valor, Aid, and Martyrdom.

II. VALOR

The first truth is Valor.

Valor is the base of the PP earned in Purge Jihad. Character earn atleast 50 PP per every 1minute just for waging a holy war and being involved in a battle. This is your base PP, which gives you a minimum of 3000 PP an hour just for playing. Lower leveled characters have a greater risk of being killed. The Deity favor this by awarding extra PP, up to 100 PP every minutes (rounded up) or 6000 PP an hour.

III. AID

The Second truth is Aid.

Aid is the fastest way to earn PP. Aid bonuses are added to Piety Points when award on the 1 minute interval. The Deities strongly reward for proving direct aid to their followers. Characters earn +10 PP from each "point of something" they give to teammates. A point includes 1 HP or AP healed, 1 piece of ammo of any kind, or 1 second of buff time. Remember, this has no effect on the XP a character earns.

E.g: A Cyborg with Intelligence of 25 (250% SureShot skill) creates one SureShot rune with is picked by a teammate. He recieves 30 seconds of SureShot (+15 Dexterity). The Cyborg earns +300 PP.

Ammo Pack

Note: Shrines, Charge Stations, RADARs, and Oracles are not covered. The Deity only rewards to a player directly using effort and show compassion towards his followers. There also no PP earned for aiding yourself.

IV. MARTYRDOM

The third truth is Martyrdom.

Making an effort to kill the followers of the opposing Deity is always makes your Deity happy. A nice bonus is added PP is awarded every minute. Piety Points differ than Experience Points greatly in this category. Experience Points are only earned if you successful kill an opponent. Piety Points are awarded even if you don't succeed in killing your opponent. Characters earn PP on each point of damage delivered (until the opponents HP reaches 0), regardless if it is Armor Points or Health Points, but only on other players and not on base structures. Also PP are not awarded on the level of the opponent, but on the difference of the levels. If a character is higher leveled or equal leveled than his opponent, he will earn the minimum amount of PP. Remember, this has no effect on the XP a character earns.

* Level difference implies your character level is lower than the opponent's character level.
* * For simplicity sake, this rated for every 100 damage to HP and/or AP. The average player can take around 200-300 damage (armor included). You are awarded PP for every point of damage, not just multiples of 100. The amount of damage PP awarded cannot exceed the maximum number of total HP and AP the opponent has.
