STANDARD BATTLE TYPES
|
Grand
Battle
|
|
Grand Battle has most
options enabled and set to maximum.
It is the default Battle Type. With
large number of reinforcemnts to respawn
and a healthy starting Portal, it
is the perfect blend of intense fragging
and tactics.
|
|
Holy
War
|
|
Holy War is most recommended
mode from a tactical combat with respawns.
The number of reinforcement allowed
are small, requiring players to be
careful with their lives. Unlike Grand
Battle, with its ample respawns, it
is quite possible in Holy War to a
team to win simply by eliminating
all the enemies reinforcements. Since
the Portal starts with the full 9999
HP, it is about equally as difficult
to win by purging all enemies as it
to destroy the Portal. Thus the Holy
War Battle Type highly encourages
to prayer the Altar, especially using
Mass Blesses, to keep you and your
team the advantage in combat, keeping
your team's reinforcements higher
than the enemies'.
|
|
Classic
Battle
|
|
Classic Battle is
a Battle Type without Altars. This
becomes a "defend the Portal
/ attack the enemy Portal" game.
The Portal is still a Super Portal
(invulnerable) for the first 3 minutes.
It is imparative that players use
this time to build base defenses,
since there will be no Deity to save
you later in the game.
|
|
Skirimish
|
|
Similar to Holy Battle
but with the lowest settings for almost
everything. The Portal will start
at its weakest state. This Battle
Type is hardcore teamwork with respawns
game where matches can end quickly.
|
|
Super-TDM
|
|
Using a perminant
Super Portal (invulnerable Portal)
and maximum respawns, Super-TDM is
short for "Super-Team Deathmatch".
This is the closest to a typical deathmatch
game availible in Purge Jihad. Portal
cannot be hurt -- ever -- and thus
is virtually out of the picture. There
are also no Altars. It is largely
a non-tactical, frag-fest. As with
a normal DM game, the game ends when
the time expires (common). There is
one unique feature of Super-TDM that
makes it different than DM in other
games. Although large, there is still
a limit to the number of respawns.
Therefore if one team is better at
"fragging", the match one
side runs out of reinforcements.
This is a "Tournament"
Game, thus XP and PP are not saved,
even in RPG Mode. All players stay
at level 11 regardless of XP earned.
|
|
Elimination-1
|
|
Elimination games
have no respawns. Once you are killed,
you must wait for the match to end.
The Portal starts fully repairs and
the Altar is also allowed. This mode
encourages tactics and teamwork. Since
there are no respawns, effective use
of skills and prayers gives veteran
players have huge advantage over new
players.
This
is a "Tournament" Game,
thus XP and PP are not saved, even
in RPG Mode. All players stay at level
1 regardless of XP earned.
|
|
Elimination-11
|
|
Same as Elimination-1
(above) but you start at level 11
instead of level 1.
This
is a "Tournament" Game,
thus XP and PP are not saved, even
in RPG Mode. All players stay at level
11 regardless of XP earned.
|
|
Clan
Match
|
|
This meant for Clan
matches. Similar to Skirmish, except
all players play at level 11 for fairness.
This
is a "Tournament" Game,
thus XP and PP are not saved, even
in RPG Mode. All players stay at level
11 regardless of XP earned.

CUSTOM BATTLE MODE OPTIONS
Custom Battle Mode means
that the server admin can combine any of the
options to customize gameplay to the liking
of the servers players (or of the server admin).
DEPLOYMENT
OPTIONS
Deployment is a server option which sets
the number of spawns per portal, per round.
For all deployment settings with the exclusion
of Elimination, the total number of spawns
per team is multiplied against the max players
per team (max players / 2)
| Deployment |
Spawns |
| Elimination |

| Platoon |

| Company |
x 20 |
| Battalion |

PORTAL
TYPE
The portal type affects the starting health
of the portal and thus the spawn time. Portal
health is always maxed out a 9999HP, thus
a 3333HP type portal can be healed and made
into a 9999HP portal, this only affects
the portal health at the beginning of a
round.

ALTAR
Whether or not the Altar is allowed. If
this set to off, players will not earn PP.
However, the divinly protected Super Portal
will be in effect for the first 3 minutes.
TOURNAMENT
Enabling a Tournament Game will override
the player's ability to choose FPS or RPG
Mode. The server will set the starting level
instead. This mode is not recommend except
for specific types of games.
MINIMUM
LEVEL
(only in effect
in "Tournament" Games)
Minimum Level is the level at which all
players will start at. When the map changes,
players are reset back to this level and
XP. PP is reset to zero.
MAXIMUM
LEVEL (only
in effect in "Tournament" Games)
Normally this is
set the same as Minimum Level. If you
wish to do so, you can set this higher
than Minimum Level. Players in Tournament
Games earn XP as they do normally. While
isn't saved after the map changes, players
could possibly gain levels, especially
if the Minimum Level option set very low.
Setting this option will keep players
from gaining levels above this regardless
of XP.
